About Us
The Daily Middle is a group dedicated to helping those in the middle class cope with the coming financial crisis. And when we say “cope with”, we mean not just surviving the storm, but hopefully even prospering during it.
Our website is here to bring you the very best, most up-to-date middle class financial crisis survival information available.

First… Some Truths We Hold Evident
We’re of the mindset that a financial crisis is inevitable. It’s simple math, and once you realize the depth of the pit we’ve dug, you’ll understand that there is no “simple” fix. We simply MUST go through a sustained period of financial (and likely social) hardship.
The sad part is, most people will not accept these truths until they wake up one day to find that their bank has closed, and the government doesn’t have an answer. If history has taught us one thing, it’s that even incredibly powerful and rich societies have collapsed. And the people living in those societies were probably in denial until the day it happened. They likely instead chose to put their belief in talk, slogans, and rhetoric; clinging to the quaint notion that their country/society was “the best” and would somehow magically come out of it. They say things like “we’ve come out of it before” or “we’re the strongest country on earth – we’ll be ok” with very little understanding of the real issues.
Does any of that sound familiar?
Listen, this isn’t a question of politics, political party affiliation, or anything similar. In fact, everyone is responsible – conservatives, liberals, and moderates all. The problem lies in the lifestyle we are all living, and have already lived. We have government services we simply expect, and we do not want higher taxes to pay for them, so the only solution has been to borrow and borrow some more. Economic peril is coming in our Experts opinion, and life will be very different for us all in the coming years.
Our Mission

Since the above is plain to both us and our visitors, we’ve directed our efforts towards helping the middle class position themselves for the coming storm. We have found that financial-crisis information that targets the middle class is almost non-existent. For example, there is plenty of information out there for the wealthy, and there are a myriad of services and programs available to the poor. But, as usual, the middle class gets left with nothing – you’re probably very familiar with this already – you don’t earn enough to be catered to and coddled, but you earn too much to qualify for assistance or any type of “free” help.
We’re here to change that. We’ve gathered some of the best information from the most respected minds in regards to how YOU can help yourself and your family during the coming crisis. There are plenty of things you need to know, such as:
- What financial investments are the safest? Gold? Silver? Stocks? Foreign Currency?
- Should you rent or buy?
- How can you protect what is yours?
- What business models and/or skills will be in the most demand during the coming crisis?
- How can you help your children and grandchildren prepare and perhaps prosper?
As we have mentioned, we see this as inevitable – however – we’re not here only to preach doom and gloom. Indeed, we aim to take a more optimistic approach – e.g.: “we know this is coming, so here’s what you can do.” Many people make money during a crisis – it’s a matter of not following the crowd, doing things a little differently, and making sure your skills align with needs that will arise in a financial crisis (we’ll give a hint: “middle managers” will not be in demand).
